College Planning and Development Council

RULES & REGULATIONS:

The College Planning and Development Council Abbreviated (CPDC) Govt. College concerned is established in the name of College Planning and Development Council of  Govt. Degree College as per the resolution of staff council.

CONSTITUTION OF CPDC:

The Principal (President) concerned will nominate all the members in consultation with the staff council of the college. The Lecturer-Members should be one senior Lecturer and two suitable senior Lectures from GCTA-GCGTA-A.P.

The Members will elect the Secretary of the CPDC.  The usual term of a member on the committee is for two years.  The Principal and Lecturer will cease to be member if they are transferred or retired. The new Principal will automatically become the President. The Parent member will lose his or her membership when the students of their ward are completed their course. The vacancies of members will be filled in by the President from time to time.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. To create a suitable environment and a mechanism for community participation in the planning and development of Government college without interfering with their rules and regulations of functioning.
  2. To create a mechanism whereby public contributions can be mobilized for the development of Government colleges.
  3. To act as an active medium between the college and the community for mutual benefit.
  4. To enable the community to advise and assist in introducing relevant courses of study in the college, based on the felt needs of the area and to improve the quality of education.
  5. To help creating the right climate for academic, cultural, social service oriented activities in the college for the benefit of the student.

POWERS AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CPDC:

  1. To work for the furtherance of the objective of the CPDC as mentioned in the elsewhere.
  2. To manage the CPDC and to decide on admission of members and filling of casual vacancies.
  3. To generate separate CPDC fund and to utilize the CPDC fund solely for furtherance of the objectives of the CPDC.
  4. To operate money-matters by opening a separate account for CPDC fund in a nationalized bank.
  5. To prepare a detailed plan, with annual budgetary allocations, for college development and to execute developmental programmes.
